Willow Pond PC Tips: Problems with Display of Chinese Characters - Screen Shots

     

Here are three examples of displays from the same webpage (xinhua.org) on the same Windows XP PC captured at about the same time. They are: 1. Very Bad Display. 2. Bad Display. 3. Just Fine Display Example 3 was captured after applying the fix described here.

Example 1. Wow! What is this all about? No images, no nothing! What to do?

Example 2. Well this is more as expected for not being able to display Chinese characters. Graphic elements are displayed and the layout is close, but no Chinese characters. What to do?
